Sylhet Tea Plantations tour in Bangladesh : 

The surrounding areas of Sylhet are renowned for their traditional tea gardens. The picturesque Surma Valley is adorned with tea plantations and tropical rainforests. It is the birthplace of tea cultivation in Bangladesh, which began in 1856.

Sreemangal is also famous for its tea estates, with vast expanses of green carpets of tea plantations.

There are around 150 tea estates, including the three largest ones in terms of area and production. These tea gardens employ around 300,000 people, with 75% of them being women.
